Wintegra's WiMAX Silicon and Software Solutions

Summary

Wintegra has silicon and software for the emerging WiMAX market.  With single chip solutions that can scale from a single sector to three sector support, Wintegra's WiMAX offering provides important scalability for a wide range of solutions.  Combined access and transport functionality can be used on the same platform for picocells, or on separate devices for micro/macro base stations.  WinPath processors are fully programmable and field upgradeable and includes the 802.16e MAC.  A services layer API is supplied as well as support for multiple PHY vendors.  Software-defined backhaul connectivity includes support for Ethernet, POS, ATM as well as TDM.  Source code is available via a one-time license fee, but no royalties.
