Wintegra Software and Tool Offerings

Wintegra is unique among the access processor provider by supplying production quality Data Path Software with its high performance silicon families.  This software is supplied at no charge or royalties with the processors in binary form.  This code runs with no required changes on all devices within a particular family, providing a seamless upgrade path for wide range of sophisticated access infrastructure applicatoins.

Following this path since the companies inception, there are now over 60 protocols, such as ATM, Circuit Emulation, HDLC, PPP, Ethernet, IP over ATM, as well as emerging protocols such as PWE3.    These protocols are bundled into vertical market suites for Wintegra's customers in areas such as DSL/PON, Carrier Grade Ethernet, Wireless Infrastructure (including 2G, 3G, and LTE), WiMAX, Wireless Backhaul and Access Routers.  This DPS software is C based, enabling rapid development as well as rapid deployment.

The vast majority of Wintegra customers uses these data path protocols as is, with no changes but a full suite of tools is available for customers to add their own differentiation to the standard offering.  This package is known as WDDK, Wintegra DPS Development Kit, and includes an optiimizing compiler, profiling tools, debuggers and full source code.   A variant of this package is available for WiMAX customers, know as WMDK, the Wintegra MAC Development Kit.
