Eddy Shalev - Director

For nearly a decade, Mr. Shalev has focused on private-equity investments in the high-tech sector, and has played a key role in several high-profile success stories.

Prior to co-founding Genesis Partners in 1996, Mr. Shalev owned and managed since 1985 the largest brokerage firm in Israel dealing with Wall Street and represented the investment bank Oppenheimer & Co. in Israel.  During that period, he headed investment banking, sales and trading, and research activities involving Israeli companies traded in the US markets.  In 1992, Mr. Shalev co-founded and became a board member of the Mofet Israel Technology Fund, one of Israel's first venture capital firms.  Mr. Shalev began his career with IBM, where he served as a Large Systems Expert and Account Executive for IBM Israel and as a Large Accounts Strategic Planner for IBM United Kingdom.

Mr. Shalev holds an MSc in Information Systems and a BA in Statistics, both from Tel Aviv University.
