Wintegra and Sanjole Partner to Accelerate WiMAX 802.16e Wave 2 Conformance Testing
Companies to share technologies to validate WiMAX standards
Austin, TX - September 24, 2007 - WintegraTM Inc. and Sanjole Corporation announced today a partnership aimed at accelerating the adoption of interoperable mobile WiMAX technology. The collaboration will involve the exchange of hardware, software and expertise to facilitate more rapid adoption and verification of new features, such as 802.16e Wave 2 functionality and MIMO (Multiple Input Multiple Output) antenna technology.
Wintegra is a leading provider of silicon and software solutions for WiMAX 802.16e and LTE base stations. Wintegra also offers a complete WiMAX and LTE base station development and reference platform, the WinHDP2, that scales from picocell to multi-sector macrocell densities using the Wintegra WinMax family of fully programmable, pin-compatible and software-compatible processors and the picoChip pc203 family of fully programmable PHYs.
Sanjole is a market leader in advanced WiMAX test equipment, including the WaveJudge WiMAX Analyzer, which permits in depth analysis of WiMAX technology with a programmable design that allows over the air testing of both IEEE 802.16_2004 OFDM and 802.16_2005 OFDMA.
Wintegra and Sanjole are working closely together to ensure interoperability of their WiMAX product lines, which will enable mutual customers to achieve more rapid market acceptance of their solutions.
"We are very pleased to be partnering with Wintegra for WiMAX interoperability and verification," said Joe Fala, President of Sanjole. "The widespread adoption of the Wintegra 802.16e MAC and transport solutions in the industry and the flexibility and scalability of their technology makes Wintegra a natural partner for our aggressive development plans."
"Sanjole is quickly becoming the market leader in WiMAX testing and analysis equipment," said Eran Kirzner, Director of Engineering for Wireless Systems at Wintegra. "Working closely with Sanjole provides Wintegra and our customers with very high confidence that the resulting base stations will be fully interoperable with the broad range of equipment also being developed and tested using The WaveJudge WiMAX analyzer. With proven support for advanced features such as MIMO, HARQ and Hand Over testing, Sanjole is setting the pace for our industry."
